Tango Classes on Wednesdays.
Get creative, move your body and learn to focus on you and your partner in the moment. Each week’s session breaks down like this;
No experience necessary, if you’ve done the workshop, great. We’ll be looking at the basics, walking, turning, taking it nice and easy and getting you comfortable with dancing in an embrace.
Fine tune your movements and get into your tango practise. Feel your body making your dance with games, exercises and stretches.
This is where we get creative, stepping into the exploration, each week solving tango puzzles and finding flow and inspiration.
This is a guided class. We explore ideas as a group and you get direction personalised to where you’re at with your dance.
An hour to practise, chill, socialise, dance.

Is this a course or a drop in class?
Working late, running late, feeling under the weather, sometimes it’s hard to make a class every week, London life is vusy (just made that word up – very busy!). You can drop-in and get a burst of tango inspiration. Scroll down, and you’ll see there’s a class pass option. 6 weeks as a course.
How can I get the most out of the session?
Learning tango is very much an exploration, you become an inventor, trying and failing, trying again and improving. I have drawn on my experiences as both a student and a teacher to put together an evening of sessions that will nourish and push you as a dancer.
This is not fast learning, this is slow and deliberate, with a focus on details that deepen your understanding of tango, week by week. I hope you will do good work, have ‘aha!’ moments, laugh and go home happy that you decided to dance tango.
There is one session during the evening, levels are something that I think necessary and simultaneously loathe, sorry about that. Here the intention is not to say one person is better than another if they receive something extra to try. Remember, this is a guided class. We explore ideas as a group and you get direction personalised to where you’re at with your dance.
If you’re new to tango and would like to dedicate your evening to working on your dancing, come to the class and the práctica.
If you’re wanting to take it super slow and ease your way in, come to the the class and the práctica.
If you’re wanting a healthy hit of tango learning and a little dancing and chill… come to the class and the práctica.
Do I need a partner?
The short answer is yes, you will need a partner. Can you find one in the class? Yes, you usually can. Can you come on your own and find a partner? Yes, so don’t let not having a partner stop you from dancing.
But, let me just say something about learning tango with someone you don’t know compared to someone you know (even a little), compared to someone you know feel and comfortable with. There’s a big difference. So yes, you need a partner, but try to find someone you know to do this with. If you’re still worried, drop me an email.
Do I need to do a workshop before
coming to the class?
If you’re worried about coming straight to the classes, come to a taste of tango, it’s a very gentle introduction to tango, rest assured however we do our best to look after everyone. Or, try an audio taste like ‘Firewatching’ (a tango story and lesson, perfect for absolute beginners).

What people are saying.
The importance of connection and the exchange of energy are also explained.
Jenney is a fantastic teacher friendly, informative, encouraging and attentive. Her enthusiasm and love for tango is evident and catching! I will definitely be continuing with the beginners classes."
I get to work with you regularly, and that was very helpful as your comments are clear and to the point."
I was so tired leaving the office yesterday but I was determined not to miss the class. I knew it would make me feel better, and it did!
The practice is serious - we all want to improve, yet there is always some laughter. After the class, I walked back to the station with tango music playing in my head. The only problem is, I've been spotted at the office practising ochos in front of the photocopier!"
Listen to your partner, hear the music, enjoy the pauses, find the moments to create the contrast... There are no fixed sequences or routines, but instead, Jenney's way of teaching enable us to feel in our bones that Tango is a dance between two people, both with voices on the dance floor.
Jenney's Tango is an inspiration in itself. A wonderful teacher.Last but not least, Jenney is an amazing teacher, really explanatory and passionate about Tango."
There is no shortcuts if you want to be a good dancer and surely we are not taking any. Great course!"
