a taste of tango
We all live under the same sky, the same moon,
So let’s dance to the same tune…

There is an idea, that for men to be truly good leaders they need to practice the 3 f’s following, floorcraft and feeling. This is nothing new as we have all heard the stories about guys learning with each other before they even put a foot in a milonga. To be clear, this is a way for the leaders to work and improve on their existing skills by exploring it from a different perspective.
There seems however to be a distinct lack of time/space where guys can do this.
So I am proposing an experiment. From the 23rd July for 4 consecutive Mondays I am giving the improvers class over to an idea called Vice Versa. A men only class where guys will learn to follow, manage the floor and feel the dance. So if you’re a leader who is interested in giving as well as leading I am putting the opportunity on the table for you to find out what a woman wants in Tango.
Vice Versa: A new class for men only at The White Hart on Mondays 8:30-9:30pm
Je ne suis pas là pour être aimé (English: Not Here to Be Loved) It’s lovely. Not harping on about passion and the bordellos of Buenos Aires, it just shows the slow burn of tango, how beautiful it can be when two people connect and how laugh out loud and ugly it is when they don’t. In dance, love, life and family.
Dance, when you’re broken open.
Dance, if you’ve torn the bandage off.
Dance in the middle of the fighting.
Dance in your blood.
Dance, when you’re perfectly free.
Jalal ad-Din Rumi (13th century)
Energy once unleashed does not cease to be, it merely changes its shape. That is the simple law of the universe.
