Course Levels Explained
If you haven't danced Tango before, you would start with the In-Tango workshop, progress to the Beginner's Course for one rotation (6 weeks), then the Improver's Course where you would stay for approximately a year. After this you can be invited to join the Intermediate Drop-in Class.

In-Tango Workshop:

Content: Basic technique, walking, a little turning and a simple sequence. You will be working individually and in couples.
Prerequisite: None

Beginner's Course:
Content: The cross, different variations of the cross for musicality. Cross & parallel walking systems. The embrace & connection. Forward & backward ochos. Giros.
Prerequisite: In-Tango Workshop or a private session equivalent

Improver's Course:
Content: With each rotation (6 weeks) the theme changes, building on the Beginner's course to improve your dancing ability. Topics such as simple musicality, changes of direction & sacadas.
Prerequisite: In-Tango Workshop & Beginner's Course, you need to understand the following concepts; the cross, different variations of the cross for musicality. Cross & parallel walking systems. The embrace & connection. Forward & backward ochos. Giros.

Intermediate Class (Drop In):
Content: More complex ideas are explored to create a wider possibility of expression in the dance.
Prerequisite: All the requirements and topics of the Improver's course and have attended this course regularly for at least a year.
