The London Milonga & Practica Map has been updated for July 2010. With over 20,000 visits since its creation in 2008 this is the place to go for the lowdown on where to dance Tango in London. To make the map more useful, a reviews section was added sometime ago, so why not leave a few words about your favourite milonga, or some constructive criticism? Organisers, you have the right to reply so keep an eye on your post! If you're a Tango blogger and have reviewed a milonga in London, post a link or your review and a link to the place you have written about. Join us for the last Abrazos this summer, we go 'till midnight.
Nos vemos en la milonga!

Just promise me, no tricks like that on the pista, now where did I leave that fedora?…

Today is Deby Novitz's birthday. She's better known to you as Tia Deby, if you look at the categories section to your right you will find her posts on various Tango themes, but if you click through to her blog you will find a sincere and candid account of life in Buenos Aires, not only the milongas.
Wild, wacky and wonderful.
Tia, feliz cumple!
When it's not working
When you think you're not good enough.
Remind yourself that you're dancing Tango
and that it can be the best you want it to be.
Thank you Gabrielle.
The pulse of the milonga, the beating heart of the music. Pumping life through your veins.
Forget time, forget the cold, forget pain, forget everything.
Because the pulse of the milonga, is your beating heart. And your heart is alive being with friends, dancing in abrazos to the pulse of the milonga…
Play this on mute if you can. The sound is no use for why I think this is how an embrace should envelop a woman.
Crossing oceans and mountains
in your mind, in your body
to get yourself there,
to stretch
to draw
just to walk
and be still?
…to turn
and be turned
what for?
what for?
for four…
But when four
becomes more
and more becomes
…real?
what for?
when real is the mountain
at the summit is joy
what for?
to fall and dive
to dive and fall
into the ocean
what for?
to live
to live Tango
to live and die for four.
