A lunch amongst friends, who all dance and are known as dancers (and teachers in Buenos Aires). But the best thing about this series of videos is the lively discussions over a meal about Tango. Everyone has an opinion and they are all listened to, it makes for a insight to the people and personalities of tango and what may be passing through their minds as they’re dancing.
Osvaldo Cartery talks about this idea of “quatro baldosa” (a “baldosa” is a tile, “
La Baldosa” is also the name of a big milonga in Buenos Aires) and it got me thinking about the next rotation.
This rotation is a bit special, I still wanted to take a theme but something that would not concentrate on a specific idea of tango (e.g. sacadas, barridas) but more about some ideas that are important to the essence of the dance. ”4 Baldosa” is one of them.
